His brother Muc, (a member of the band Srebrna krila) is the one responsible for Mammoth’s return to Zagreb, thankfully. In 1996 TV show Crno-bijelo u boji (Black and white in color) assembles all the living legends of that time, and in 1997 in the cinema hall of the Studentski centar, they all performed in a humanitarian concert for the Children’s hospital in Klaićeva street. The concert was almost surreal, and performed for the completely full hall. Croatian Radio Television broadcast the concert live. Mammoth, who had decided to permanently put away his saxophone, after Walter’s persuasion, continued his rich musical career in The Cadillac, and has been playing with them for the last 13 years. VLADIMIR KIRBY BASTAJIĆ, one more of the true legends of Zagreb rock’n’roll scene, recently became a permanent member of The Cadillac. His musical career began in 1963 in the band Kontiki, playing the rhythm guitar. In 1964, with brothers Pavić and then unkown, later recognized as a big talent Vedran Božić, he founded the band Grešnici. After Vedran had left to play in the new band Roboti, i.e. Five Up, Kirby joined the original band Roboti, led by the legendary singer of the original Roboti, Čizmek, also known as Čizma (Boot). After Mika Hižak had left Crveni Koralji in 1969 Kirby became their, third in a row, bass guitar player. He stayed in Koralji till 1975, when he reanimates the band Grešnici, with which he plays throughout Europe till the end of 1980s. In this period he also works with Željko the Dog Kovačević. ŽELJKOMAČOR (TOM CAT) MARINAC became a member of The Cadillac just before the summer tour in 2011. His musical career began in the band Zlatni akordi, than for several years he played with the band Crno-bijeli, and for full 17 years he played with Crveni Koralji, with which he released several very successful cassettes. Nowadays he occasionally plays with Željko the Dog Kovačević andVladimir Kirby Bastajić in Davor Štern’s Band Super Stars. During the January, March and April of 2010 they performed in various TV show on Croatian Radio Television (HRT), such as Good Morning, Croatia, Croatia Alive, Bingo, and on Easter 2010 they featured in the show Garage with a half-hour performance. Walter Neugebauer was also a guest in the show Evergreen Evening, in which the retrospective of his performances during a 40 year long career was shown. It is also important to mention a rich discography of Walter Neugebauer andTheCadillac. In1982 Suzy Record and CBS released their first LP Long live Rock’n’roll. In 1989 PGP RTB released their mini LP Still in love. In1994onthecompilationDeutcheAustrophonebesides Shakin Stevens, Swinging Blue Jeans, The Coasters, Rockin’ Neno and The Cadillac were represented by two original compositions, Rock me, and Still in love. In 1996 Croatia Records released their LP 15 years live on stage. In 2006 Croatia Records released Walter Neugebauer’s double CD titled Rock’n’ roll je život moj (which was the hit of the Zagreb festival in 1989). Since 2010 Walter and his band The Cadillac are giving Zagreb back its atmosphere of legendary dances from 1960s. Everything began in Ribnjak, and nowadays they are performing in Dom kulture Prečko, Centar kulture Dubrava, soon on Vrbik... During the summer of 2011 Walter Neugebauer and The Cadillac had a very successful tour around Croatia, with over 30 performances. Occasionally Boris Barba Babarović from Crveni Koralji performs with them. They also worked with Miro Ungar (in Tvornica duhana Rovinj, at the Tennis Seniors Championships in Umag), as well as with Davor Štern at the Rotary party in Koprivnica, and at the 47th regate in the newly built hotel Lone in Rovinj. In 2012 they plan to perform throughout Croatia, and are especially happy to perform again at the Tennis Seniors Championships.
